A CALL TO ARMS (FOR A BAT)

There are eight days until the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline, time to make a move.  Six games into the ten day road trip and mighty offense of Los Gigantes de San Francisco has yielded ten runs.  That is TEN runs, as in 1.67 runs per contest.  This could be the reason I felt that the Brian McCann broken bat RBI single off Tim Lincecum in the first inning was a punch to the gut, a punch that we could not recover from.  One first inning run should not create a feeling of loss, but with the O missing from ffense, it has.

There are bats out there. Please Mr. Sabean, give us some hope.

This is currently how I feel about the offense.

– And with Zito taking the hill in about an hour, the “Zito Drinking Game” is getting an early start.
